Listened to:

G-Eazy ft. Halsey – Him & I

Allie X ft. Vérité – Casanova

Eden – Crash

I am usually that type of person who listens to a new song 100 times and gets annoyed after it. So here are three songs, I've been listening to the most in December. Let's see, when I cannot hear them anymore.

Read:

It's so sad that I didn't finish any book in the last months. :( Reading a lot parallely, maybe that is the problem.

Watched:

Watched a lot of movies this month. I guess it's just the season for that? And the holidays definitely are made for movie nights.

  • Ender's Game
    •  Liked it, but it felt quite rushed.
  • The Life of David Gale
    • Yes, liked it, but I alreasy knew after the first 20 min how it is going to end.
  • The 5th Wave
    •  Yeah, was ok. Major plot holes but I liked the actors.
  • After Earth
    •  Was fun.
  • World War Z
    •  Actually I didn't pay too much attention since I was distracted from my cooking session. But yes, the fourth sci-fi-movie in a row.
  • Sex and the City 2
    •  I needed something light.
  • Arthur Claus
    •  So cute! Perfect Christmas movie!
  • The Intern
    • Such a sweet, funny and cool film! Really enjoyed it a lot. Robert de Niro and Anne Hathaway are simply awesome (together).
  • Black Mirror Season 4 Episode 1
    • Yay finally again!

Travelled to:

This month I finally realised my trip to Andalucía. The south of Spain was highly ranked on my Spain travel list (besides Madrid) so I was very excited about it. Teresa and me (and two other girls, but we split) managed to see Málaga, Granada, Sevilla, Cádiz and Córdoba in one whole week. And it was amazing! Yes, there weren't only good memories, e.g. the horrible AirBNB in Sevilla (ghetto district, almost no warm water, freezing temperature inside the flat and no real heating, no electricity), the loud and cold room in Málaga, I lost an earring (no big eal) and almost lost one of my very cherished earring my Mom bought me (heart attack!), overcrowded Seville ... But still: I am so glad that I made that trip. My highlight was definitely Granada. The city itself is simply beautiful (Albayzin!) and the Alhambra is just breathtaking. You need to go there and see it for yourself!

With my sister (who is visiting me since the end of the month) I went to Montserrat in Catalonia. Beautiful mountains and an awesome view. Unfortunately we hadn't time to see and walk everything but it was still worth it.

What I've eaten:

Tapas, pasta, risotto, noodle salad, fried rice, homemade tiramisu, selfmade Christmas feast menus, so much ... Just a lot but mostly coffee and pasta.

Thoughts & Feelings:

December. What a rushed and chill month at the same time. The first week I have been travelling through Andalucía, got back to Barcelona and worked like a maniac since I signed up for some working shifts. After the second week, the stress fell off and I got sick. Again. I already lost count of how many times I got a cold or even the flu here in Spain. It is really ridiculous and not even funny anymore. Usually my immune system is pretty strong but since I gave up on working out some months ago I feel so weak and tired all the time. And it definitely affects my health. I lost so much (muscle) weight here and fall ill constantly and it really sucks. I cannot wait when I get back to Germany and can work out properly at my gym again.

After my vacation I was (as mentioned) busy with work and uni stuff, tried out many different cafés at which I did home office and just took the time to recover fully. As you might know I stayed the Christmas holidays in Barcelona and just chilled, ate, took walks at the beach. It was really nice and calm! For New Year's Eve my sister came to town and we will enjoy our sisters' time. And that's pretty much it for December.
