Travelled to/Attented:

Bella Italia! I haven't been in Italy since 2010, so I was very excited. Milan didn't rank on top of my travel bucket list but since I got some insider tips and travelled with my sister (it's always so chill to travel with her!), I was really looking forward to it. Actually we also wanted to visit Como (I always wanted to see Lake Como!) but my sister was ill so we stayed in Milan. The city is pretty and I guess if you have a lot of money you will enjoy it.

Majid Jordan concert @ Huxley's Neue Welt

It's always special if Canadian and US stars come to Europe (because they rarely do!). I've been listenign to Majid Jordan for about ... 1 1/2 - 2 years I guess. I was super excited when they dropped their new album and was so looking forward to the concert. Well, honestly speaking the vibe wasn't as good as expected, the screaming groupies next to me were quite exhausting and I expected a bigger show performance. Bit disappointing but the concert itself was still good though.

dvsn concert @ Bi Nuu

A few days later dvsn also gave a concert in Berlin (just FYI: Majid Jordan and dvsn are both signed at OVO Sound, Drake's label). Since I was a bit disappointed by MJ, I didn't have high expectations. There wasn't even a pre-band. Almost after arriving the concert started and I saw ... nothing because I am short and was in the furthest back. But still: Since the venue was smaller, it was more packed and the overall atmosphere was way nicer. dvsn smashed all his hits and interacted with the audience. It was a small and nice concert, even though he didn't play my favourite song (Try // Effortless).

Visions Alive @ Alte Münze

Visions Alive is an art installation where paintings from different eras (mostly impressionism and expressionism) are projected. They included Miró, Degas, Renoir, Gris, van Gogh, Klimt, Munch ... It was nice but definitely way too expensive.

5 years of unu-Party

Mirja works at unu and the start-up threw a celebration party. It was at Zur Klappe and I really ran around an hour at Mehringdamm because I could not find it ... Well, at least I had a currywurst and some mate. #thankyouspäti

What I've eaten:

One of the best risotto's I've ever had @ Ristaurante de Oscar in Milan, lasagna, gelato, espressi, Brammibal's Donut + vegan Vietnamese food with my sister, an awesome Banana Brunch and my dad's German birthday dinner in the beginning of the month ...

Thoughts & Feelings:

The second month in Germany is over. While I was waiting to somehow get emotional, the sad feelings simply didn't kick in. Maybe because I kept myself busy with work, appointments, meet ups with friends, ... For my undergraduate thesis it was a quite productive month and I finally started to spend more time at the library and university (library = way more productivity than at home).

Apart from that it was quite stressful. Several master programmes I wanna attend called for their deadlines end on 1st March and because I travelled the last week of February to Belgium, I had to get done everything before. Further, I started to look for a new job since I really want to gain more experience at the strategy department. One interview is done, next ones are to come!

Leisure-wise I had some pretty fun days and crazy nights in Berlin. We celebrated my dad's 58th birthday, had a huge Banana Brunch (I brought sushi!) in the beginning of the month, one night I was lost at Mehringdamm (Kreuzberg) because I couldn't find the club and Mirja didn't answer my calls, got pierced again. At the end of March I had a pretty crazy night after the DVSN concert in Wedding and a sort of awkward-funny-interesting night at bar Luzia. Good memories.
